Riding lessons are a great way to properly learn how to ride and control a horse, and how to care for one as well. At Flying Changes Equestrian Center, we have many different ways to enjoy riding lessons and horses!

 

 

We offer English and Western Riding lessons but specialize in:

- Hunter/Jumper

- Equitation

- Horsemanship

- Speed Events (such as Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, etc.)

   The Junior Rider Program is for younger students to learn all the basics of horseback riding and care. Students will be expected to learn basics such as grooming, how to tack and untack a horse, how to ride at a walk, trot, and a canter, and how to perform simple barn chores and tasks. Along the way, they will earn ribbons to display for their achievements.

   The Senior Rider Program is for older students to learn the basics of horseback riding and horse care, as well as perfect the basics of horseback riding and horsemanship. Students will be expected to properly identify horse equipment, how to ride a horse at a walk, trot, canter, and gallop as well as jump a course, and how to perform above and beyond in barn chores and horse care. Along the way, students will earn ribbons to display for their achievements.

   The Equine Certificate Program is for the more serious equestrian. This program will prepare students to further their experience and knowledge in the world of horses and prepare them for a possible career in the equine industry. Upon completion of this program, students will be ready to introduce others to the wonderful world of horses!
